Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

Energy Usage

Our electricity is sourced entirely from renewable providers. All lighting in our facility has been upgraded to energy-efficient LED alternatives.

Working Practices

We have adopted a predominantly remote working model for office employees, significantly reducing carbon emissions associated with commuting and office heating requirements.

Materials Selection

The majority of our steel components have been replaced with aluminium, which is both derived from recycled sources and easier to recycle in the future.

Delivery Efficency

Deliveries to customers are made using our own vehicles when it is both economically and environmentally viable, particularly when we are already operating in the area. While our company vans are not yet electric due to the current limitations in the range of medium-sized electric vans, we continuously assess developments in this area and will transition to a fully electric fleet as soon as it is practical to do so.

Reducing Mileage

Our suppliers are all UK-based, with most located within a 50-mile radius of our factory. This approach reduces transport emissions and aligns with our long-standing commitment to sourcing locally, even when lower-cost overseas options are available. Where possible, we also seek to work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability.

Factory Heating

We have decommissioned our inefficient gas boiler and replaced it with infrared heating panels and heated jackets. This allows us to provide warmth directly to our factory staff rather than attempting to heat the entire workspace.

Packaging Initatives

We utilise recyclable packaging that contains a minimum of 30% recycled plastic.

Reducing Paper Waste

Paper usage has been eliminated across our operations, both internally and in customer communications, by transitioning to digital invoices, emails, and electronic payment systems.

Air Source Heatpumps

Where possible we have installed air to air heat pumps We have installed a Panasonic Air To Air Heat Pump in our factory office and our senior team all have air to air heat pumps in our home working spaces.
